Hi, Everyone! First, a brief update - after having surgery yesterday to clear a second blockage, uncle should be going home today, yay!
So, it's website Wednesday, and today I'd like to share something I find inspirational. If you watch much of the Today Show in the mornings, you've probably heard of this before. It's the Joy Fit Club, and I like to browse through the myriad examples of people who have lost over 100 hundred lbs. and kept it off. In particular, I like to look for people in similar situations as I'm in - women in their early 30s of around the same weight I was when I started or that I weigh now. I find it helps motivate me to read these stories and see that I'm not alone and that it can be done. There are also some good articles on health and fitness tips, too, so check it out!
Happy Wednesday!

so happy to hear about that your uncle is better, and is going HOME! wow!! what a come back!
ReplyDeleteI checked member#1 pics. before and after. no time to read whole article. but wow, 167 lbs loss. that's incredible. I love seeing before/after photos. it motivates me too. I wish I would have checked yesterday. I totally broke down! I rec'd a package of choc chip cookies from my mother-in-law, who I am convinced just enjoys to torture me!! and I caved and had 2 of these huge cookies. I was so depressed all day after that. So I got up early and did a workout tape already this morning. and I am also going to go for a walk with the girls later. I have to undo those damn cookies!!!
ok, I went back and read it (the joy fit member #1) and she did it only 1 year and 1/2! that is so awesome!! so inspiring! I am going RUNNING today for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely inspiring! Yay for getting out and running! Don't let the cookies get you down too much. Just harness the motivation and make it work for you. :o)
